What's On

Discover What's On in Ipswich

As the county town of Suffolk, Ipswich is the place to come from surrounding areas to enjoy theatre, art, dance, music, film, exhibitions and other events.

With many theatres and arts organisations in the town, Ipswich is a great place to watch a live performance of dance, drama or music with touring London shows and pop icons often visiting Ipswich Regent Theatre.

Ipswich Regent Theatre, Corn Exchange, New Wolsey Theatre, Red Rose Chain and Eastern Angles all offer live performances covering drama, shows, music, plays, comedy and seasonal performances such as outdoor plays in the summer and pantomimes at Christmas. Dance East on Ipswich Waterfront is the home of dance in the East of England, with Christchurch Park hosting an annual Music Day in early July and artisan market twice a month.

Art and History are other celebrations in the town, with exhibitions at The Hold – home of Suffolk Archives, Christchurch Mansion and Ipswich Museum.
