Suffolk's County Town

As the county town of Suffolk and one of the oldest towns in England has a rich heritage and history dating back to Anglo-Saxon times.

Ipswich is a great place to live and work. With its strong historic maritime past, Ipswich Waterfront area a popular destination enjoyed by all. With the University of Suffolk and Suffolk New College campus nearby, Ipswich is also a great place to study.

You can wander around the medieval streets of St Peters Street and enjoy the many historic town centre buildings with its vast array of unique independent shops it’s a great place to open a new small business.

Why not walk through leafy Christchurch Park with its rich wildlife and Christchurch Mansion or why not enjoy exhibitions, Ipswich museum, culture and the arts, theatre or music at venues around the town.

With many places to stay and things to do, plus easy links to the east coast, wider Suffolk and neighbouring counties Ipswich is a great place to visit and enjoy, but also a great base from which to explore all that the East of England has to offer.
