Ipswich Town Football Club

Ipswich Town has an impressive track record. The club won the men’s English league title in 1961–62, and twice finished runners-up, in 1980–81 and 1981-82. They won the FA Cup in 1978, and the UEFA Cup in 1981. Ipswich Town were also FA Youth Cup Winners in 1973, 1975 and 2005.

In 1991-92, Ipswich Town won the Division Two title and were promoted to the inaugural Premier League season, returning to the Championship and then League One for a few seasons before a return to glory in recent times, achieving Back to Back promotions from League One to the Championship in 2022/23 and from the Championship to Premiership at the end of the 2023/24 season. 

Ipswich Town FC has a ‘blue army’ of dedicated and passionate supporters and a great track record of developing exceptional football talent through the Ipswich Town Foundation. On matchdays a ‘Fanzone’ is held before the match on the practice pitch next to the Stadium for families to soak up the pre-match atmosphere!

The Club has a reputation for attracting managerial excellence (Sir Matt Busby, Bobby Robson, George Burley and Kieran McKenna). And, the current club sponsor is global superstar Ed Sheeran, a life-long town fan and Suffolk resident.
