Constable 250 is a year-long celebration of this famous Suffolk artist who had strong links with Ipswich who was born 250 years ago!
Between March 2026 and April 2027, Christchurch Mansion will host a series of exhibitions and events celebrating Constable’s work, thanks to funding fromt he National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Constable’s links with Ipswich include visiting the Cobbold family at Holywell’s Park and painting oil sketches on the Orwell Estuary around Ipswich Waterfront.
