Wolsey Writers is a creative writing group based at New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich led by award-winning author Katie Ward. The group includes novelists, scriptwriters, poets, storytellers, children’s literature, comedy, and non-fiction writers – so every genre! Each monthly session includes tips to improve your creative practice, focused writing time, peer support and inspiration.

If you’re after a great night out to see a show, the newly refurbished Ipswich Regent Theatre is the place to go this year. The theatre reopened at the end of 2025 following extensive internal refurbishment, improving the experience for theatre-goers, so do book a show to see for yourself!

Ipswich Portal on the Cornhill connects real-time with Ireland, Europe and America!

Visit Stoke Bridge Wharf to enjoy the Ipswich Waterfront Dock Stories AR experience, and, coming soon are six new Digital Binoculars showing the town in times gone by.
