Ipswich Town Football Club has recently celebrated back-to-back promotions to the Premier League.
Founded in 1878 and becoming a professional team in 1936, Ipswich Town Football Club (ITFC) joined the football league in 1938.
The team has an impressive track record winning the English league title in 1961–62, twice finishing runners-up in 1980–81 and 1981-82. They also won the FA Cup in 1978, and the UEFA Cup in 1981.
In 1991-92, Ipswich Town won the Division Two title and were promoted to the inaugural Premier League season. Ipswich Town were also FA Youth Cup Winners in 1973, 1975 and 2005.
Ipswich Town FC enjoys strong and passionate local support and has a track record of developing exceptional football talent through its Academy. The Club also has an enviable reputation for managerial excellence and stability with Bobby Robson, Sir Alf Ramsey, George Burley and Kieran McKenna all managing the team.
