Terms & Conditions

  • Participants take part in the trails entirely at their own risk. The organisers (Locus MS trading as Ipswich Central), will not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury incurred by participants while taking part.
  • It is free to take part in the trail, requiring only the cost of a drink at each venue, and there is no charge for the prizes.
  • The Historic Ipswich and doggy trails will run until the end of April or until all the prizes have been claimed (whichever comes first). Participants are encouraged to complete the trails early to ensure that the prizes are still available.
  • Participants can collect stamps by buying a drink at each bar listed on the trails. For each stamp, at least one drink must be purchased. Drinks do not have to be alcoholic.
  • Each bar has a different stamp so only one stamp per bar on a trail map will qualify for a prize. Trail maps with incorrect stamps next to a bar description will be disqualified.
  • Participants must collect stamps from six different bars for each trail. Once completed, they can claim their free prize as follows:

If all six stamps on the dog-friendly trail are completed, head to the Briarbank to collect a free dog bandana.

If all six stamps on the Historic Ipswich trail are completed, head to the Boom Battle Bar to collect a free enamel pin badge of Wolsey’s gate.

As the gifts are claimed, the bartender will cross through the sheet and return it to the participant.

If both trails are completed, participants can go to the Briarbank to swap both completed cards for a cool reusable, environmentally friendly coffee cup (while stocks last).

  • Only one coffee cup per participant is allowed during this History Ipswich and doggy trail.
  • Participants are responsible for checking the opening days and times for each bar – the organisers will not be responsible for any costs incurred where participants have travelled to a bar that is not open. Similarly, the organisers will not be held responsible if individual pubs on the route are temporarily closed or barr entry to the pub for any reason.
  • Dogs – whilst well behaved dogs are welcome at the six bars on the dog trail, not all pubs on the Historic Ipswich trail allow dogs on the premises, so please check in advance before setting out with your four-legged friends. The decision on whether to admit each dog rests entirely with bar management.
  • Each bar will have its own licensing guidelines in relation to access for children under 18 so please check in advance with the bar if you plan to do the trails with children or young people.
  • If you are under 25 and wish to buy alcoholic drinks on the trail, please bring photo ID in case you are asked to prove your age.
  • Bars on the trail have different levels of access for people with mobility issues in terms of entrances and access to toilets – participants are responsible for checking arrangements with individual bars if necessary.
  • The Briarbank and Boom Battle Bar have kindly agreed to hand out prizes on behalf of the organisers. If there is any question over the validity of a trail sheet or prizes are not available, participants are asked to be courteous to bar staff and email details of the enquiry or issue to info@Ipswichcentral.com
  • The decision of the organisers is final and no compensation will be given if prizes run out before a participant is able to complete their trail sheet.

If the trails prove popular, others may be developed. We welcome feedback from those participating in the trails including suggestions for new trail themes. Please email comments to info@ipswichcentral.com
