The Mix is all about flexibility and fun. You don’t have to be studying at the nearby University of Suffolk to enjoy it. When exploring Ipswich’s historic quay, the café and bar is ready to welcome everyone, open daily, with the stunning backdrop of Ipswich’s Neptune Marina.
The Mix is a collaboration between regional charity Access Community Trust and the Student Union of the University of Suffolk. As a social enterprise, The Mix has its cosy home on the ground floor of the iconic James Hehir Building alongside Ipswich Waterfront.
This versatile café and bar is the go-to place for all sorts of activities, be it hanging out with friends, working, studying, attending events, or even hosting your own social gathering!
The Mix food menu includes delicious breakfasts, handcrafted pizzas and more, with Paddy and Scotts Coffee, a wide range of draught beers, and unique must-try cocktails.
What really makes The Mix special though, is its big heart for the community, with profits going right back into local charitable services, helping local individuals and families in need.
Brought to you by Ipswich Central, the Business Improvement District (BID) for the town centre and waterfront thanks to Ipswich Borough Council and Towns Deal funding.
