Just a stone’s throw from the town centre, in the late 1960s and early 70s this venue hosted rock legends Led Zeppelin, The Hollies, Rod Stewart and The Move. In 2021, The Baths re-opened as a live music venue and has continued to be used for live music since by Brighten The Corners – who also run The Smokehouse and St Stephen’s Church.
Since opening in 2021, the venue has continued to be run for live music by the team at Brighten The Corners – who also run The Smokehouse and St Stephen’s Church – and are responsible for the multi-venue music festival of the same name in Ipswich.
Brighten The Corners are passionate about ensuring that Ipswich is on the music map as a touring destination for big bands, plus showcasing the local talent we have to offer to grow the local music scene for community benefit.
The Baths has quickly become a fan favourite venue and underwent refurbishment recently to achieve new toilets and fire exits that increases its capacity to 300 people.
Acts that have played include Yard Act, The Wedding Present, Grooverider, Twin Atlantic, Tom Ravenscroft, Pigsx7, The Orielles, Mad Professor, Theon Cross, This Is The Kit, Children of Zeus and Jamz Supernova.
