The Mayor’s Parlour can be found inside the Town Hall, as well as Moments Coffee Shop plus unique rooms for events, displays, receptions, meetings and civil weddings.

In the 1960’s when a new Civic Centre was built, it was decided to continue to use the Town Hall to host Council meetings when necessary and to accommodate the Mayor.
In 1970 a new look building inside was unveiled, promoting its ability to be used for a wide variety of events. The Town Hall can now be booked out by societies and organisations for their meetings, luncheons, dinners, dances, concerts, exhibitions and coffee mornings. The building also now hosts civil wedding ceremonies and Moments Coffee Shop on the ground floor.
On the front of the Town Hall there are three heads representing King Richard I, Cardinal Wolsey and King John. Above these heads are four statues in stone representing Commerce, Agriculture, Law and Order and Justice.
