Ipswich County Library in Northgate Street is open seven days a week offering not just books! There are free activities, free wi-fi and computer access with rooms available to hire for meetings, talks and even weddings!

The library is open seven days a week and as well as books offers a wide range of engaging free activities for people of all ages. The library also has free Wi-Fi and computer access.

Having a library card gives you access to not only borrow books, but thousands of the latest eBooks, magazines, newspapers, eAudio and music.

You can even borrow copies of plays and music vocal scores from our Music and Drama Library!

The Library’s hub also offers local businesses and groups a range of modern bookable rooms with presentation facilities, with rooms configurable to your needs.

The Northgate Room upstairs is the library’s most attractive and striking room. Normally used as the library’s study and reference area, this room is available to hire for weddings and other ceremonies.
