When you’re looking for a great beer experience in Suffolk, look no further than the Briarbank Brewing Company. Set just moments from the historic waterfront, in the heart of Ipswich, our award-winning, independent microbrewery and bar was established in May 2013, and we’ve been creating beers ever since.

Whether you’re dropping by to sample one of our year-round classics or seasonal beers in our first floor tap room or browsing our online shop to decide which of our beers to add to your mixed case, you’re sure to find a beer to suit your tastes.

Always open to experimenting with flavour and technique, we’ve cultivated a great reputation for taste, and we’ve won numerous industry accolades, including a gold and a silver at the SIBA East Independent Keg Beer Awards 2022, plus a gold from the SIBA National Independent Beer Awards, which took place in 2022.

Our first floor is open daily.

At Briarbank we operate on an upstairs, downstairs basis. Our first floor bar is open from midday until late on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and from 4pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Stocked with the full range of beers produced in our impressive ground floor brewery, as well as guest beers, an array of wines, spirits and soft drinks, the Briarbank Bar is the perfect place to enjoy an afternoon or evening with friends.

What’s more, we have a wide-ranging menu, including lighter dishes and pub classics.
