Ipswich Art Society is back at St Clement’s Arts Centre for its 146th annual open exhibition, showcasing the best of professional and amateur talent.
It’s the society’s third annual show in the beautiful setting of the Waterfront mariners’ church, famous for its naval connections.
This year, like a ship in harbour, the churchyard is decorated in bunting! Individual pieces in the Creative Flag Project have been designed by the artists, curated by artist Evelyn Planitzer.
Inside the church there is an enormous range of paintings, ceramics, textiles and prints showcasing talented artists and makers from across the age range and many styles.
This year the Mayor’s trophy was awarded to Piano Man by Taylor Beckett, and it was chosen by Deputy Mayor Pat Bruce-Browne.
The exhibition is open daily until June 7, from 10am to 4.30pm and admission is free.
Brought to you by Ipswich Central, the Business Improvement District (BID) for the town centre and waterfront thanks to Ipswich Borough Council and Towns Deal funding.
