The Spread Eagle is an old pub with lots of history and a unique character offering food, cask beers, keg beers and cyder, packaged beers, wines, spirits, mixed drinks, soft drinks, bar snacks and events.
According to the Campaign for Real Ale, this distinctive Grade 2 listed building is the sole survivor of four pubs which once stood at this junction, is owned and operated by Grain Brewery and was extensively refurbished in summer 2015.
The building dates from the 16th or 17th century and is a great place to enjoy a real ale inside or in the beer garden area to the rear. The pub also hosts bands and evening events.
