Parking in Ipswich

The main routes into Ipswich are the A12 from Essex and London, the A14 from Cambridge and the A120 from Norwich.

Ipswich has two Park & Ride sites to the east and west of the town, to take you from the outskirts directly into the town centre.

Park your car from FREE and catch the Park & Ride bus into the town centre from London Road (at Copdock on the A14/A1214 junction on the west side of Ipswich) or to the east side of Ipswich at Martlesham/Kesgrave on the A12(N) junction.

For those wishing to drive into the town centre, there are also plenty of public car parks. Crown Street multi-storey Car Park in Claude Street operated by Ipswich Borough Council has 536 parking spaces and is a five-minute walk to the Town Hall and Cornhill in the heart of the town centre.

There is also lots of parking around Portman Road near the football ground (600 spaces in four car parks) and at Ipswich Waterfront, Duke Street has 248 spaces.
