Suffolk Windrush Celebration

Monday 22 June is National Windrush Day and this year Suffolk Windrush will be celebrating the 78th Anniversary (1948 – 2026) on Ipswich Cornhill.

Organised by the Suffolk Windrush Select Committee and Ipswich Borough Council, an afternoon of celebration in the heart of the town centre will feature:

  • Open speeches from Charles Challenger (SWSC), Ipswich Mayor, and poet Abe Gibson
  • Live performances by Cherise Phillips, Nero Diamante, and Sound of Steel (Steelband)
  • Exhibition, market, and food stalls offering a variety of experiences

Everyone is welcome to come together, honor and celebrate this important day.
