Constable 250 Workshop: Scriptwriting

Tuesday 18th August

Sessions are 90 minutes long and start at 11am or 2pm at Christchurch Mansion

Like going to the theatre/cinema? Ever wanted to write your own play, television show or film? Then join us for this very special workshop on 18 or 25 August from the co-writer of The Hay Wain, Neil Jones. Storytelling, character, staging, and of course the setting, will all be included, with the chance to write a short scene and then perform it afterwards.

Along with Thomas Edwards, Neil is the co-writer and director of The Hay Wain, a new play which will be performed on the lawn of Christchurch Mansion to coincide with our Constable 250 Exhibition, which includes the world-famous landscape that inspired the play. It is being staged in the open air from August 19 to 22. For more information and tickets go to www.castleparktheatre.co.uk

Sessions are 90 minutes long and start at 11am and 2pm. This activity is suitable for 8+. This workshop is free to attend but places are limited, so booking is essential.

This event will take place on the Mansion lawn, near the Haywain Play Stage. For helpful information, such as how to find us and what facilities Christchurch Mansion has, we recommend reading our Access information: Access at the Mansion
