Brave Futures Dragon Boat Race

For a 7th year, the Dragon Boat Race returns to Ipswich Waterfront in 2026, and this year it’s set to be bigger and better! The race route extends around the quay, bringing even more colour, fun, and excitement – and everyone will want to make a splash! (Figuratively speaking, of course).

The aim is for 35 teams to take part this year, competing in heats that build up to a grand finale, bringing entertainment, festivities, and a fantastic atmosphere to the quay.

The money raised will go towards our vital specialist support service, supporting children in Suffolk as the waiting list continues to grow, and the rate of disclosures is at an all-time high. Brave Futures wants to be there for every child who has been a victim of sexual abuse.

You can sign up for our Dragon Boat Race as an amazing team-building event. No experience is required – you’ll be given all the guidance and support you need. All you need is 10 paddlers and 1 drummer and your team is ready to go!
