House & Home: Every Home Tells a Story

The history of home in Suffolk.

Step back in time and find out what house and home means to Suffolk people throughout history.

From country houses to high rise flats, from lighthouses to family homes, explore what makes a house a home. Unique items from the Suffolk Archives collection will take you on a journey through Suffolk to discover how we create our sense of place.

The exhibition will feature a selection of new creative writing pieces from students at the University of Suffolk, inspired by the archives and by 22 Britannia Road, an historical fiction book by author and University of Suffolk lecturer Dr Amanda Hodgkinson.

Friday 15th October to Sunday 9th January

Entry to the exhibition if FREE however you'll need to book a time slot to help the venue manage visitors. Time slots are available every 30mins from 9:30am to 3:30pm. Click here to book.
