SPILL FESTIVAL 2021: ON MEMORY

Wednesday 27th - Sunday 31st October 2021

Ipswich's biennial festival of performance art and activism returns with a 5-day programme of ground-breaking performances and installations across the town centre; all themed around Memory. Presenting works by artists from across the UK and from countries around the world, as well as projects that SPILL have grown with people living in Ipswich.

All events and installations are FREE however SPILL Festival is a not-for-profit charity and asks for visitors to pay what they can.


ALBESILA LUMINARIUM 

Immerse yourself in colour and light in this internationally-beloved installation by Architects of Air, which will be positioned outside Cult Cafe along the waterfront. Entry is FREE however booking is required to manage numbers. Click here to book an entry time.

CHORUS 

A spinning mechanical spectacle of sound and light by British artist, Ray Lee. Playing every evening throughout the festival on the Cornhill Square from 6pm to 8pm.

GAIA

See our very own Planet Earth floating in three dimensions in the magnificent Grand Hall at Ipswich Town Hall. Open until 9pm Wed-Sat and until 6pm on Sun.

PYRE PARADE

A SPILL Festival favourite. The incredible Pyre Parade returns with the town's annual burning of bad news. The parade will set off from The Hold at 6pm on Saturday 30th October.
