EncoreEast - “Home from Home”

An evening of empowering new dance, conceived by EncoreEast and devised with 50 dancers aged over 50 from across the country, working with leading professional choreographers.

In this innovative collaboration, dancers from EncoreEast have joined forces with dancers from Norwich, London and beyond to create a new performance under the artistic direction of renowned choreographer Luca Silvestrini.

The result is a celebration of creative communities and over 50’s dance, opening in Ipswich at DanceEast, before touring to Norwich Playhouse and The Place, London.

Home from Home is devised and produced by EncoreEast; supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, co-commissioned by EncoreEast, DanceEast, The Place and Norwich Theatre.

The project features dancers from EncoreEast, Cadenza, The Place Dancers and Damn Fine Dance, in collaboration with Alethia Antonia, Laura Anderson, Alleyne Dance, Molly Wright and Luke Birch, under the direction of Luca Silvestrini (Protein Dance).
