Big Hoot Ipswich 2022

St Elizabeth Hospice have revealed the 'Big Hoot Ipswich 2022' will be the next 'Wild in Art' trail in Ipswich

SUMMER 2022

The trail will have 40 ornately decorated owl sculptures, celebrating all things Suffolk, scattered throughout the town showcasing the wealth of artistic talent of the county and beyond. All whilst raising money for St Elizabeth Hospice's amazing work in cancer care.

Inspired by Mabel and Matilda the tawny owls who are famous residents of Christchurch Park, the owl sculptures will be decorated by local artists and UK designers to bring a colourful art trail to Ipswich Town Centre; helping to attract visitors and give families a fun, and free, activity over Summer 2022.

Elmer’s Big Parade Suffolk in 2019, and its subsequent statue auction and accompanying fundraising activities, generating more than £260,000 for the hospice. While Pigs Gone Wild is estimated to have brought an extra £1 million to Ipswich’s economy through increased visits and spending in the town, as 250,000 people completed the art trail in the town.
