The Ipswich Regent Theatre is the largest theatre in the East of England, boasting more than 1,500 seats and an incredible programme of touring shows, West End musicals, big-name comedians and intimate 'a night with' shows. There's always something, or someone, interesting heading to the Regent Theatre!

The theatre opened in 1929 and it was among the first UK theatres to play films with sound. Throughout the years the theatre has hosted top acts including the The Beatles, The Walker Brothers and Jimi Hendrix. It became a Gaumont cinema before being saved for live entertainment by Ipswich Borough Council in 1991, and reverting to the Regent name.
