The Ipswich Regent Theatre is the largest theatre in the East of England, boasting more than 1,500 seats and an incredible programmes of touring shows, top musicals, big-name comedians and intimate 'a night with' shows - enjoy West End shows in Ipswich!

The heatre opened in 1929 and it was among the first UK theatres to play films with sound. Throughout the years the theatres top acts have included the likes of The Beatles, The Walker Brothers and Jimi Hendrix. It became a Gaumont cinema before being saved for live entertainment by the borough council in 1991 and reverting to the Regent name.
