Forage & Folklore

Guided nature walks in the Suffolk Countryside.

Learn about
identifying edible plants, reading animal tracks, local ecology and old English folklore with Forage & Folklore's guided nature tours.

Based around the village of Mendlesham, a short journey north of Ipswich, duo Tom and Ashely, aka Forage & Folklore, run guided nature walking tours for individuals, couples and small groups. During the nature walks, Tom and Ashely will show you how to identify and forage edible and medicinal plants, how to read animal tracks and signs and tell forgotten folklore tales of these plants and animals.

Passionate about Suffolk, Tom and Ashely will also share local stories and information about the ecology of the area to help you get a true experience of rural Suffolk life. The tours are also a great chance to get some wonderful photos of plants, animals and landscapes; so don't forget to bring a camera.

Grab your walking boots and start foraging!

With experiences available for individuals, couples or small groups; each tour is about 4hrs long and includes a picnic stop with local Suffolk produce provided plus a chance to try some of your foraged delights.
