The annual civic service for the Mayor of Ipswich will take place on Sunday 13 October at 3.30pm in St Mary Le Tower Church in Tower Street, Ipswich town centre.
Ipswich Mayor, Councillor Elango Elavalakan will be joined by fellow Mayors from across Suffolk and Civic Leaders with special guest Cardinal Thomas Wolsey for the parade ahead of the Civic Service which starts at 3.30pm.
A procession between Ipswich Town Hall and St Mary-le-Tower Church will leave the Town Hall from Ipswich Cornhill at 3.15pm.
The Civic Service, to be led by Reverend Tom Mumford, starting at 3.30pm. The service will include performances by the Choirs of The Chapel Royal, Hampton Court Palace and St Mary-le-Tower Ipswich.
The service is an annual event to celebrate the town and those who perform civic duties for the benefit of our communities in Ipswich and is open to all.
