Greggs' Sausage, Bean & Cheese Melt

Make your own Greggs' Sausage, Bean & Cheese Melts at home using five simple ingredients.

Missing those flaky and comforting Greggs pastries? To help you fix that craving whilst their bakeries are closed, Greggs have released the recipe for one of their most popular breakfast pasties; a Sausage, Bean & Cheese Melt. Yum! 

Ingredients

75g pre-made puff pastry (such as Jus-Rol)
1 small egg for glazing
1/2 a sausage
75g baked beans
30g cheese

Method

1. Heat the oven to 180c.

2. Cut two squares of puff pastry, roughly 15cm x 15cm and egg wash the edges.

3. Put the sausage and baked beans into bowl and gently squash with a fork.

4. Place the sausage and bean mix on one of the pastry squares and sprinkle on the cheese.

5. Put the other square of pastry on top and use a fork to seal the edges of the pastry squares together.

6. Egg wash all over the top and bake in the oven for approx. 20 minutes or until the pastry in golden brown.

7. Allow to cool.
