What’s better than one New Year? Two New Years! 

Just after we thought all the celebrating was over, Chinese New Year is on the horizon. This celebration of the lunar new year brings in more than just dragons and lanterns, here’s ways that you can join in the celebrations through the observations of Chinese New Year traditions.

The main thing associated with Chinese New Year is festive performances, this year Dance East and New Wolsey Theatre are both holding New Year performances.

Dance East:

The Anglo Chinese Culture Exchange returns to perform another spectacular show, dancers, martial artists and musicians will be teaming up to provide a show you won’t forget! Bring the family along to enjoy the Chinese dance, music and amazing Martial Arts to get into the spirit of the Chinese New Year!


New Wolsey Theatre:

Join the New Wolsey Theatre in celebrating the year of the rat! This performance will incorporate an exciting line-up of traditional and western dance and singing, along-side musical acts. With the addition of local talents this show will give you an experience to remember!
