This Summer in Ipswich St Elizabeth Hospice has brought an exciting new art trail to Ipswich; Elmer's Big Parade!

You can spend the day exploring Ipswich as you hunt for the 55 individually-designed 'Elmer the Elephant' sculptures scattered throughout Ipswich from the train station to the waterfront and Christchurch Mansion and across the heart of the town. And look out for the Mini Elmers in shop windows!

TOP TIP: the best place to start your Elmer adventure is at Elmer HQ located in Ipswich Town Hall.

Ipswich is lucky to have some of UK's best town parks, with Christchurch Park and Holywells Park each winning a 2019 Green Flag Award!

One of Ipswich's favourite attractions, a wonderful traditional Victorian museum.

Ipswich Museum is filled with natural history collections, incredible Ancient Egyptian artefacts (including a real mummy!) plus displays of Anglo Saxon history, ancient fossils and world cultures. And entry to the museum is FREE!

The home of quirky, contemporary and interactive art in Ipswich!

Throughout the summer at Ipswich Art Gallery, the space is home to Marvellous Machines; a hands-on exhibition of quirky automated contraptions.

The exhibition is FREE to enter and provides plenty of interactive displays for children to plat with; blending art and engineering through fun stories and characters.

TOP TIP: throughout the summer, the gallery is holding a series of workshops for kids to get involved and create their own contraptions!
