Suffolk Walking Festival tickets are now on sale!

POSTED ON: 14/02/2018

This year’s festival is the largest to date with 125 walks and events across Suffolk. New for 2018 is the Festival Fringe, a series of events that get you close to nature in the very heart of the countryside. Our Fringe includes “Woodland Twilight Safari” where you’ll experience nocturnal life waking up in an ancient wood; “Hedgerow Cream Tea” where you can gather your own ingredients for a very special cream tea on the wild side; and “Mindfulness and Nature” a quiet meditative walk in the iconic setting of Dunwich Heath.

In the walk programme we have many of our favourites plus some new walks for you to experience. And this year’s Challenge walk is a 60-mile, 4-day adventure through The Sandlings, the remnants of a vast area of heathland and forest that once spanned the landscape between Southwold and Ipswich.

The Suffolk Walking Festival kicks off on Saturday 12th May at St Peters Brewery, near Bungay, with welcome and nibbles courtesy of St Peter’s Hall Restaurant at 10:00 followed by 2 walks, each ending with a brewery tour, “Tutored Tasting” and a complimentary bottle to take home!

To see the full programme visit the festival website at where you will find information on all our walks plus our new Fringe Festival.
