Going Batty! New Ipswich Waterfront Bar & Grill Experience

POSTED ON: 19/11/2018

A new bar and grill is launching at Ipswich Waterfront incorporating a unique play palace for grown-ups.

Get set for Wiff Waff; bringing a unique bat and ball experience to the town, juggling a   magnificent mix of good food, drink and themed entertainment and not once a week but every day of the week.

Wiff Waff is set over two floors and incorporates three table tennis areas (bat and beer) and two pool tables. Throw in the mix DJ sets, Jamaoke sessions and a weekly quiz night Wiff Waff brings a new and unique experience to Ipswich and the Waterfront.

The bat and beer experience is great fun for those looking for somewhere social with a bit of “game set and match” thrown in as well as those with a competitive streak – there will be Wiff Waff championship tables and competitive games served up during the week.

Each day of the week will see different themed entertainment and food and drink offers, incorporating something to tickle everybody’s taste buds. Quirky themed nights include Monday Mischief, Killer Tuesday, Quizzie Rascal Wednesday, Jamaoke Thursday, TFIF, Bouncin’ Saturday and Sunday Funday which is focussed towards our hospitality colleagues who get very little time to enjoy their weekends

During the year pop up parties, alfresco drinking and dining and other events will tickle taste buds and encourage socialising in the vicinity of the Waterfront, the jewel in Ipswich’s crown.

The activity planned is aimed at all ages and encourages visitors to participate in a diverse choice of entertainment - dancing, singing or playing games, whilst enjoying a famous Wiff Waff cocktail or two shaken or stirred by master cocktail makers.

Opening from 12 noon Sunday to Thursday until midnight with Friday and Saturday 12noon – 1am.

Chris Whelan, Wiff Waff Manager “Aimed at all ages and abilities, Bat and Beer is already a popular choice in other parts of the country with bar goers looking for more of an immersive experience when enjoying a night out and it will certainly keep many on their toes. We are blessed with two floors of bars and dining areas with space to accommodate some great themed events”.

With a full events calendar across the week, visitors are best to check out Wiff Waff’s Facebook page to see what’s on.
