DanceEast celebrates the Festival of Lights

POSTED ON: 09/10/2018

On Sunday 28 October enjoy a fun-filled morning of dancing, arts and crafts activities and face-painting in Ipswich, suitable for families with children under five.

DanceEast are working in partnership with Sanskruti Dance, formed by Krishna Zivraj-Nair to deliver this family friendly event.

The Baby Loves to Boogie disco will run from 10am – 12pm and include Carnatic music as well as small movement demonstrations taught by Krishna.

The arts and crafts activities will include making traditional cardboard diyas and designing Rangoli floor patterns. There will also be peacocks to decorate with beads, colour and glitter, allowing lots of messy fun from 12pm – 1pm.

Krishna is an Indian classical dancer and choreographer, trained in the dance form of Bharatanatyam. She has recently received One Dance UK’s Dance Teachers’ Mentoring award for her to further develop her school and dance company.
