Independent Ipswich

All About Ipswich

You’ll find Independent businesses scattered around the town centre, however, you’ll find a great deal of them in the Saints area along St Nicholas Street and St Peter’s Street.

If you’re in Ipswich for the day, we recommended popping into Applaud Coffee to get your bearings and set your agenda. Along this street you’ll find stores ranging from the Italian Shirt Shop, Cake and Catwalk, Loveone and the House in Town, all selling wonderful items you’d be hard pushed to find anywhere else. Take your time to explore their shelves and rails and take home a unique treat.

There are also plenty of places to stop for a leisurely lunch including the highly rated @Twenty5 serving fine British Cuisines, Trongs and Kwan-Tai for those who fancy food with an Asian flavour or Zaika and Gandhi for those tempted by an Indian.

Wash it all down in Degero where the friendly staff will mix you up a cocktail of your choosing and you can spend time planning your afternoon ahead.

Don’t forget there’s plenty more to discover away from the Saints area. How about checking out those who have won the All About Ipswich independent business of the year competition. Pop to Pocket Watch & Petticoats (2015) for an outfit then head to Alaturka (2014) for something to eat.
